Project Alpha Seminar empowers young males to make better choices on July 20th

Greenville, South Carolina - Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation is again sponsoring its Project Alpha Seminar on July 20th at the Kroc Center in Greenville, South Carolina. This is a free event from 10am – 2pm and includes breakfast and lunch.
Project Alpha is an educational program for adolescent males between the ages of 10-17. It is conducted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the March of Dimes. First developed in 1980, its goal is to assist young men with making responsible decisions. The program encourages participants to increase healthy lifestyle behaviors by learning about the consequences of pregnancy, anatomy and physiology of the human body, and the importance of fatherhood.
The curriculum includes important topics such as:
Responsibility, Respect and the Role of Males in Relationships
Bullying, Cyber-bullying, Sexting
Protecting Yourself and Your Partner
Gang Violence
