MLK Youth Program & College Fair to be held on Feb. 6

Greenville, SC- Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will be holding its 31st Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Program & College Fair at Furman's University Center on Saturday, February 6th. This program is a part of Alpha Phi Alpha’s national effort, “Go to High School, Go to College”, and GGL Chapter is holding the program with Furman University continuing its four year partnership with MLK events.
The College Fair will start at 9 AM and feature more than a dozen college representatives such as The Citadel, Clemson University, USC, Furman University, Wofford College, and Benedict University. The Youth program starts at 10 AM and will feature the MLK Youth Award winners from the fourteen (14) High Schools in Greenville County. Last year, GGL, with the help of local High Schools, awarded more than 160 awards in five categories: Academics, Art, Athletics, Leadership, & Music.
In addition to the awards, there will be seminars on Financial Aid & College Life during the program for students and parents. Light refreshments will be served at the program.
